Why volunteering one of the rushing programs?

What would be your reaction when you hear the word volunteer? Perhaps you were thinking of working to help others and unpaid. And you will realized that it’s useless and boring because you can never get something in return after you help those less fortunate people. Well if that’s what you think about, then you were definitely wrong. Despite the fact that volunteering is not about money matters still there are countless number of volunteers who were rushing to join for the said program. Though most of the volunteers could not get much benefit about money however, they can benefit something which is worthy to remember and self-full filling.

Asking what makes volunteering a rushing program? Well here are the reasons why:

  • Volunteering is the opportunity for the volunteers to meet new and interesting people. If you were with the program you will meet different people in different races, culture and ways of life since you will be exposed in the other countries with volunteers from the different countries as well.

  • Volunteer work is an experience worth to remember. Whether you volunteer to build a house or any other voluntary work you will get something from it that you can use when getting a work abroad. This could be your stepping stone towards success in business and in applying for a work abroad.

  • When you were in the community service as one of the volunteers, you can use it or share it at work, with your classmates or friends after. There would be a lot of things you can share with them, things that you get from the program.

  • While when you were still in college and you were already committed with the said program, you are fortunate to get academic credit from your school.

  • Volunteering offers various opportunities that everybody should discover and should never take for granted, whether in school, society, family, friends and among others.

Dare to give up Christmas with family for Volunteer Travel?

I am one of the optimistic people who believe in the goodness of humanity. Though I am not financially endowed, I still want to volunteer abroad and share humanity’s goodness. My greatest dream is to be able to afford such activity. Of sharing a moment with someone who deserves it and someone who needs it.

I was so envious of Essaji who volunteered abroad during Christmas. Though she missed one Christmas celebration with her family but then it was well compensated.

Essaji according to what I read packed her bag as soon as the last item on an exam was answered and flew to South Africa and volunteered to help take care of kids. She went back on the day the class is about to start. Though she missed both Christmas and New Year’s celebration with her parents, she felt it was worth every moment of sacrifice away from parents on a holiday season.

When Essaji went home after the holidays the Christmas tree was still up so she feels as if she spent Christmas with them.

Essaji and the rest who give up Christmas and white snow on holiday seasons felt that if Christmas is indeed giving- they had fulfilled such deed.

South Africa seems to be a favorite not only of its Safari deals but also as a volunteer destination. Travel in South Africa either for a volunteer destination, work or a safari compensates every effort and penny you invested.

Though a volunteer abroad usually means fun, work and busy schedules… it also means a drop off on your way home to some of the popular tourists spot like the Cape Town, Western Cape, Johannesburg, Kruger National park, Pretoria, Durban, Pletenberg, Oudtshoorn, Port Elizabeth and Drakensberg Mountains.

A glimpse of these places right after a volunteer abroad in South Africa seals your volunteer travel.

Teaching is the most common work volunteers can spend in Turkey. Though education here is mandatory however, especially in the primary school many of this children could never get a proper education. Due to that, volunteers are needed to fulfill these children’s dreams.

Mexico—this city is known as the largest cities all over the world. Volunteering here mainly focuses in those people living in the poverty areas. Those people who were left behind because of abuse of the environment as well as lack of economic opportunities. Costa Rica—located in Central America, Costa Rica is blessed of having various sightseeing and pristine natural environment. It is the city which abounded with alluring beaches and friendly people, and the city of vibrancy. However, despite its being rich and a famous city, still there are many people who were less fortunate of wealth.
