Are You Going to Volunteer to Help or Have Fun?
International volunteer work is a profound and serious decision. But it does not have to be boring. You can travel and volunteer abroad and have fun. How to make volunteer fun? Choose an international volunteer program that suits your interest.
If teaching runs in your blood then seek a teaching program. There are so many countries to pick from. Especially if you speak the English language, there are countries that will happily welcome your help. From European countries to the south countries; Spain got volunteer program that caters to English speaking volunteers. Your mere presence is welcomed. If these student can not go abroad to practice the English language then they attract English speaking volunteer to interact with. You will be strutting around Spanish cities and get pleasures in architecture hopping while speaking your tongue.
International volunteer work can be done to help or have fun. As long as you are doing something that interests you. It is contributing to the world community while you are having fun. Doctors are needed worldwide; anywhere they are welcome by communities. Some southeast and African countries needed such medical help.
If you love dancing then you can volunteer to teach children how to dance. Can you imagine yourself, influencing and teaching kids your passion? A Philippine province in Visayas dreamed of putting a hub for the children to express their talents. They do not have to express themselves on the dusty streets in full view of the whole town. Donations are welcomed if dancing is not one of your forte.
If children have a soft spot in your heart; seek an international volunteer work with such program. You can take care of orphan children in Ecuador perhaps or in the United Kingdom. Care for a baby who does not even know that he does not have the parents to meet right after they were born.
Volunteering does not have to be tedious work. Look for something that you are passionate of and cross boundaries to share your interest.
