What Can Teens Volunteer Abroad For?
So many… International Volunteering for teens can do two positive things both for the volunteer and the one who receives the assistance. It is a rich experience for teenagers and a good way for teenagers to make good of their vacant time especially during summer and in between school breaks.
Volunteer Abroad for teens has so many options; teen can volunteer together with their families or with their chaperoned. Destinations are wide and vary from Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia or Latin America. The length of volunteer abroad for teens varies from 2 weeks to almost 12 weeks depending on what volunteer program they had applied.
Countries in Africa that are unparalleled volunteer destination like Ghana, Morocco and South Africa. A teen volunteer can gain incomparable entrée to Ghana that is varied in landscape with beautiful traditions plus a glimpse of the tribal and clan system. Morocco mirrors a different face of Africa which frame the Mediterranean Sea and the location of Sahara Desert. Rwanda is also an interesting country. As they say the country less traveled but with unparallel effect on those who tried to walk on its path. Volunteers say they had been changed by their experience. They valued what they had because of the experience.
Volunteer in a country that was behind the iron curtain – Russia. Your teens will face the social challenges with a matchless cultural perspective. Your teenager could also help other children and teenagers in some parts of Colombia in different fields like English, Match, Social science and other subjects. The teenagers have a chance to work on a community and environment in Colombia and go to major attractions of the country.
Teenagers now days seem different from teenagers of past- this is what the older generation say. Yet, in my opinion the “teenagers” of today is the same with teenagers of the earlier generations. What have change are not the people but the culture that we had today. And a volunteer abroad for teens is a just a perfect to open doors that has never been entered. And these doors will teach kids to value life itself.

Hi,
I am really interested in volunteering in wild and interesting countries, but I don’t understand about fees and accomodation. Do teens have to pay about living in that country, transport, etc.
I’m 18 years old schoolmate from Latvia.
