Australia Outback Volunteer
Working in Australia opened so many realities to me both pleasurable and realistic. When I applied for the volunteer program I had so many choices from a volunteer work Cambodia, volunteer opportunities Costa Rica and volunteer international Ghana. Yet, I chose to frolic under the Australian outback sun.
The Land of Oz made me realize my goal of contributing positively to humanity in my little way. Australia belongs to the developed world yet it still needs so many volunteers to help maintain their diverse eco-system. I decided to take part on a conservation projects and witness life Down Under. The volunteer project that I participated involves taking care of the Australian wildlife.
Volunteer work Abroad in a foreign country like Australia gives you a chance to know the country on a different pace and way. Volunteering in some parts of the country that has not been visited frequently by the tourist gives you a warm feeling for the place.
Brisbane is another facet of Australian culture, architecture and tourist destination. The program I participated required us to fly to this capital city for the orientation, accommodation and training. I was glad though for such activities for the volunteers were given a chance to see many sights in this city. Brisbane though is the most romantic cities that I had been to. It made me think of lovers happily walking side by side in the Mangrove Boardwalk in City Botanic Gardens.
Right after every volunteer work abroad responsibilities done, my group head off to the nearest attraction and we were just so glad to be given a head start of getting to know Australia. We had fun with the city centre free loop bus and it was coupled with great shopping and sight seeing. Southbank Brisbane also offers crystal clear lagoons and a chain of swimming to enjoy yourselves till sundown. The cultural centre is also a must-see in our group itinerary, though we just kind of glimpse along so many museums and complexes.
A day of going out and basking in Australian lifestyle and digging deeper into their culture through volunteer work abroad Australia is just what everyone needs.
